Some mental illness symptoms may tell you to seek help for your child:

  • Ideas or actions of harming self, family members or others
  • Substance experimentation or abuse
  • Aggressive behavior, acting out and/or threatening behavior
  • Expressing threats and/or plans to harm self or others

  •  Restlessness
  •  Emotional swings
  •  Confused about events, days, or times
  •  Loss of motivation
  •  Repetitive behaviors and thoughts
  •  Impulsiveness

  • Difficulty forming healthy bonds with others
  • Detached from family and/or friends
  • Hearing or seeing things not there
  • Lack of emotions and or desires to participate in normal activities, apathy
