Open Letter to our Community

Dear Friends,

Shadow Mountain Behavioral Health System announced its intention to close the facility effective July 5, 2019. After careful consideration and analysis, we have found it no longer feasible to remain in operation. The facility is not accepting any new patients.

The safe and seamless transition of patients, either discharged home or transferred to another appropriate environment, is our top priority.

We have informed our employees and are committed to working closely with them during this transition time. We thank the physicians and staff for their expertise and dedication in providing high quality, compassionate treatment and care to the patients we have served.

Established in 1971 as Dillon Family and Youth Services, Shadow Mountain Behavioral Health Services moved in 1980 to its current location. The staff of Shadow Mountain are honored to have helped, over the years, thousands of at-risk youth with complex emotional issues and behavioral problems. We are proud of the sacrifices of those who worked every day, often under challenging circumstances, to positively impact our patients’ lives.

Sincerely,

Shadow Mountain Behavioral Health System Leadership Team
